We’re a boutique design agency in Downtown Frederick, MD with a lot of design-centric projects requiring high-level creative thinking, industry expertise, diverse design style, upper-level skills, and vivid imagination. We’re looking for a talented, experienced designer to join the team.

This is a flexible job opportunity offering part-time to full-time hours, in-office or remote (work-from-home) options, and flexible work day hours.

• Stays on top of design trends, and forecasts what trends are evolving in the design world
• Desires to grow their professional skills and experience

Skills/Requirements

• Solid foundational graphic design skills
• Strong understanding of branding
• Strong editorial/page layout, and the ability to handle large publication work
• Impressive typography skills
• Excellent problem-solving & trouble-shooting skills
• Very focused attention to detail
• Ability to grasp client/project objectives and develop practical solutions
• Capable of balancing and working on several projects at a time
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Website design experience, focusing on front-end and practical user experience
• Varied portfolio that shows standout work
• Work experience (3 years minimum) in an agency/studio environment
• Strong time/project efficiency and awareness (ability to work within a set budget, and make design decisions accordingly)

Nice to have (bonus skills)

• WordPress knowledge
• Squarespace knowledge
• Strong writing & proofreading skills
• Photography and/or photo editing skills
